Dr. Allison Brown earned a degree in Public Health and Health/Science Education at the Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln followed by a clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton Medical Center. She has worked with people of all ages from NICU to youth athletes, professional performing artists to older adults. Special interests include performing arts healthcare, hypermobility, dysautonomia, and assisting people of all ages in continually moving toward function on their journey in life.
As the founder of Functional Journeys, a Faith-Based Organization dedicated to Living and Learning ~ Helping and Healing, Dr. Allison strives to serve others with compassionate caregiving and teaching.
A project of Functional Journeys, The PhysioForward Physical Therapy and Integrative Health Project, aims to partner with people to improve their daily functioning, whether that is getting dressed in the morning or performing on a professional stage. Various treatments are utilized and Dr. Allison has been certified in Graston Technique, Myofascial Decompression (Cup Therapy), Functional Dry Needling, Yamuna Ball total-body rolling, Infant Massage, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Lisa Howell The Ballet Blog Coursework, and more.
Outside the clinic, Doc Brown (to her students) is privileged to teach basic science and physical therapy related topics in classrooms as well as local and national seminars. She is supported by her husband and young-adult children as she is determined to turn every inch of their sandy suburban lot into a productive homestead!
